“Michael Liss has to be one of SAP's most dedicated and quality Solutions Engineer ever. Why? Let me posture one of the DNA traits that Michael has demonstrated over the past. One is, If I had to put a finger on what makes one successful has to be preparation. Michael has taken on the approach to prepare for success. Know what the value wedges are to gain the prospects or customers attention. Yet, every variable cannot be allotted for each time. However, he determines perceived obstacles, challenges, pitfalls. Plus, he needed to be prepared for the FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) that will get used as landmines by the competition. Being prepared keeps him sharp, consequently, it only strengthens his focus to flawless execute each time he is associated with an event (internal or external). o Know or define a strategy and timeline to win o Know your audience (customer, industry, competitors) o Know the competition o Know your differentiators o Know your “Plan B and Plan C” alternatives Ebullience/Energy = this is almost an intangible characteristic, but Michael truly believes energy begat energy. Meaning that ebullience/energy is infectious. Michael sets himself apart from others with a high energy level. This approach not only acts as a stimulus to the presentation or conversation but most will raise their energy. It's easy to talk about Michael's commitment to flawless execution, but professionalism is another key element. From presentation skills to follow-up techniques making the customer feel like they are the most important interest of the moment allows him to gain their attention and respect. Returning calls and expeditious follow up on action items are paramount to success. The returned telephone call when it’s been committed to is a lost art. I think all would conclude that most people don’t return calls. Michael fully understands that when someone gives him their time it is truly a gift. Time is the only thing that can NEVER be redeemed. I know Michael fully understands that and attempts to maximize folks’ time with professionalism. Basically, getting the best yield out of all parties involved time.”
