    Prior to the Seattle Seahawks Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at CenturyLink Field, Luis Navarro was presented with the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award for the 2013 season.

    Navarro, a former Board President of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Pacific Northwest Chapter who holds several leadership positions in Washington, was nominated for his passionate work within the One League for Everyone (OLE) community. Navarro's work with OLE assists low-income and underprivileged families with the financial burdens of youth sports, ensuring all youth have an equal opportunity to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

    The award for Navarro comes during Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), a time when the NFL joins in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

    The Seahawks honored Navarro on September 22 at their Hispanic Heritage game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Seattle routed Jacksonville 45-17 to improve to 3-0 this season.
    Luis Navarro, a Community Liaison for One League for Everyone, has been an advocate for the Hispanic Community in Washington State for many years. OLE is a non-profit organization that assists underprivileged youth, as well as low-income families who bear the financial burden of youth sports. Navarro previously served as the Board President of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Pacific Northwest Chapter, where he promoted trade between the U.S. and Mexico and helped strengthen commerce amongst the Pacific Northwest Hispanic and Non-Hispanic community. He also collaborates as a volunteer with the Seattle Sounders FC on Hispanic community outreach.
