As a result, these temporary providers truly are the backbone of our healthcare system. Without locums, those facilities would face critical gaps in coverage or may not be able to offer coverage at all. Congratulations to Terri Keeling, DSc, MS, BS, CPHIMS, PMP, Vice President of EHR Clinical, Access and Revenue Solutions for Information Technology at University Hospitals, for being named to Becker's Healthcare “Women in Health IT to Know” list for 2024. According to Becker’s, “Women are working to shape and enhance the future of healthcare through health IT. The women celebrated on this list leverage information technology in order to improve healthcare as a whole. Their efforts are modernizing administrative healthcare processes, increasing the efficacy of care models, standardizing workflows and more.” In choosing Dr. Keeling for the list, Becker’s noted that she “brings expansive IT experience to her role as vice president of EHR, Clinical, Access and Revenue Solutions. Most recently, she served on the program leadership team for the implementation of a new EHR for the entire health system, the largest single project endeavor in the system’s 157-year history. The implementation, which reached stabilization within three weeks of go-live, involved more than 27,000 caregivers, 5,000 providers, 100 workgroups, 50 EHR modules, 400 interfaces, 20,000 devices and 20 terabytes of converted legacy system information. Dr. Keeling also created and implemented methodology to systematically identify and address technology incompatibilities, architecture problems and machine images impacting the ambulatory practice environment. In addition, she developed a sustainable end-user support peer network, which encompasses 260-plus practices and 9,000 end users. Dr. Keeling's work also led to a defined strategy for manual processes removal, telehealth implementation, consumer-facing scheduling, online bill pay, referral management, an onboarding and reinforcement program, an IT strategy to support population health for the UH ACO, and automated testing for applications.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eHT-NUgJ #UHProud #healthcareleadership #informationtechology #patientaccess #electronichealthrecord
