Presidential and secretarial Appointment to serve to advise the Secretary of Defense on issues regarding cooperation and understanding between the reserve component service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from the employee's military commitment. Was the only woman and only spouse of a service member on the board for 4 years. Led efforts to facilitate communication during the mobilization of IRR for Operation Enduring Freedom.

Serve on the annual Director of the Year committee. Collaborate with the team to seek nominations, sponsorships, endorsements. Plan the VIP Reception and Gala. Interface with selectees and serve as an ambassador for a particular honoree and for the committee.
