Making a concerted effort to truly connect with your audience and gain insight into their perspective, their role, and the day-to-day that makes up what they do is pivotal in establishing trust and credibility. SDRs - Struggling with your ramp? Here are 5 tips to immediately improve your results and beat your ramp 1. Meet with 3 top performing BDRs, pick their brains on everything from Prospecting, Research, Sequences, calls, emails, Linkedin DM's etc. Once you have a good pool of knowledge on strategies that are working in the current market you can adapt it and make it your own. 2. Problem enablement: The most important thing to know is WHO you help and HOW you help them. Speak to your AE's who've closed business, CSMs and your own internal personas. The goal is to be able to crisply articulate how you can help a target persona in a target account get to their desired state. No one cares about WHAT you do, they care about how you can help them. 3. Volume: Practice makes perfect, you're not going to get good without the reps so get out there and prepare to fail. 4. Double down: If you find one medium is yielding more meetings then double down on that one, e.g if you're booking 5 meetings a month through call and 1 via email, try changing to a call only sequence for a while to see if it ups your results. 5. Feedback loops: Regularly ask your top-performing peers, AEs and your manager in your 121 for SPECIFIC advice. This means you'll always be growing your skillset. Make sure you're not getting advice from everyone though as this will dilute your focus P.S I'll do a part 2 of this next week but anything you'd add? SDRs - you're going to struggle with this. Not getting instant results, and trusting in the process. You're going to struggle because some of yours new hire peers will have instant success. You're going to struggle, because quota's will always feel like "a lot" You're going to struggle with this because there are infinite talking heads talking about how their form, template, or question instantly booked 30 zillion and half meetings. Trust in the process. Be consistent in keeping the right schedule and doing the right activities, in the correct structure. You will see the results you are looking for. It may all come at once, in a big ol wave. Be ready, be excited, and let it ride! Lastly, be honest with yourself in you aren't following the process. Only you can truly hold yourself accountable. Surfs up SDRs, Waves look pretty good today :)

SDR leaders, 9 questions to ask yourself before you wrap up the week: 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 - What did I do well? - What didn't I do well? - What should I do differently next week? 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 - What did we do well? - What didn't we do well? - What should we do differently next week? 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘀 - Who performed well that I can recognize? - Who struggled that needs more support? - Who can I spotlight for success stories? Doing this every Friday is a surefire way to keep you and your team improving. Happy Friday, y'all.

There's a huge amount of goodwill that SDRs can create by showing up to their calls well-prepared. If you work with midmarket/enterprise accounts - this is for you! 💪 What am I getting at? - If you can describe in detail the world of the prospect - that 'can' take you all the way to the finish line (maybe even despite a weaker mid/close section) 🏁 But how do you incorporate research into your opening structure? This is how I do it. 1. Lead with the data point's you've learned, 🔑and🔑 go one step further and make an educated guess. <I noticed you're hiring for enterprise reps> <which suggests to me that you're moving upmarket and wanting to acquire more logos like X Y and Z> 2. Do some storytelling about typical challenges, don't just say what the challenge is, be very specific. <At upmarket level, there's more budget scrutiny> <you know... C-level are expecting a business case otherwise the deal is going nowhere> 3. Make it relevant to the world of your prospect. Think persona-specific metrics here. A phrase I love is: <"And where you might see that translate is"....> <longer sales cycles, lowered win rates etc...> 4. Ask for resonance. <To what extent does that resonate with you?> <You're probably going to tell me that was some daily metro horoscope-level rubbish...> wait for response ⁉️ Why does this work? 💡 SMYKM - show me you know me ⏰ prospect sees you've put in the time, and they probably aren't part of a spam list 🧪 data points tie into story and challenges, which tie into persona's KPIs. You basically tell them why they should care about this. ⏩ In this particular call: - research was on point, persona was completely off - no meeting booked - referral gained. 👨🏻🔧 Improvement areas: - Saying 'um' in the middle of the opener and mispronouncing prospect's name 😅 - I probably didn't need to add that "if it's not interesting I won't call you again." - Research could have been snappier. But that said - if you've made the effort to do research, people will give you grace. After all, you're making it about them. #sdr #outbound #saas #sales #digitalsalesrooms
