DISA Expands Thunderdome Zero Trust Program Deployment; Brian Hermann, Quoted. ExecutiveGov discusses the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) expansion of the Thunderdome zero trust program. In engaging our rapidly evolving global security landscape, collaboration and partnership are essential pillars in bolstering defense industry capabilities and meeting warfighting needs. The United States Department of Defense (DoD) recently published the National Defense Industrial Strategy (NDIS) Interim Implementation Report, detailing the progress that #DoD is making toward implementing the actions laid out in the NDIS. The NDIS, released in January by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (OASD(IBP)), offers a strategic vision, and identifies four strategic priorities for modernizing the defense industrial ecosystem. The Interim Implementation Report outlines initiatives from across DoD, showcasing how efforts to build a resilient industrial base are an ongoing, DoD-wide priority. DoD will be sharing further details on NDIS implementation later this summer. "This report conveys the commitment that the Department has made to achieving the priorities outlined in the National Defense Industrial Strategy since January," said Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy, Dr. Laura Taylor-Kale. 🚨 Newly Declassified Intelligence Community (IC) Inspector General (IG) Complaint Raises Alarm 🚨 Have you ever read an IC IG complaint? A recently declassified "urgent concern" complaint from 2023 offers a chilling glimpse into significant issues within the Intelligence Community. With numerous redactions, it's clear the complainant had detailed, first-hand knowledge about Anomalous Health Incidents (AHIs). Here’s a snapshot of the findings: 🔍 Key Concerns: ❌ Misleading Information: Evidence of deliberate misinformation to Congress and concealment of critical details about ongoing intelligence activities. ❌ Safety Risks: Potential threats to the health and safety of government employees and the public. ❌ National Security Impact: Compromised ability of the IC to protect national security interests. 🕵️‍♂️ Findings Highlight: ❌ Pattern of Mismanagement: Identifies systemic issues of gross mismanagement and abuse of authority, dating back to 2018. ❌ Suppression of Information: Critical information about AHIs has been deliberately suppressed, leading to misleading assessments. ❌ Retaliation and Intimidation: Instances of retaliation against those who challenged the preferred narrative, including adverse career impacts and threats. 💬 Specific Issues: ❓ Manipulation of Intelligence: Concerns that the CIA and ODNI are manipulating intelligence to fit a predetermined narrative and suppressing dissenting reports. ❓ Abuse of Authority: High-level actions aimed at stifling information and retaliating against whistleblowers. ❓ Potential Motivations: The suppression might be driven by a desire to avoid admitting failures in national security capabilities and to sidestep tough policy questions. 🛠️ Recommendations: Calls for a thorough investigation to address these concerns and restore trust in the IC’s ability to safeguard national security.
