Aloha To All, One of my other passions in life is providing Close-Quarter Protection training to children, girls, ladies, women, and families, as our world is becoming less safe than ever before. I have been providing this type of training since the mid-80s till now, and I do my best to develop it based on my client's needs. This means from executive personal protection to the everyday person. I also handle air, land and water areas for anti terrorism. We can not take our freedom lightly because others with bad intentions want to hurt us for their own reason. 🎨 The Art of Emotion Regulation 🎨 Dr. Daniel Siegel, co-director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA, wisely said: "When you name it, you can tame it." This resonates deeply within the practice of #mindfulness and #emotionregulation. 📊 Understanding and working with our emotions is not about controlling them. Attempting to control emotions often leads to #frustration and #failure. Similarly, ignoring emotions is not a solution either, as it can be likened to containing a storm in a bottle, leading to greater turmoil in the long run. 📗 It may seem counterintuitive, but the most effective way to deal with emotions is to acknowledge and accept them. Mindfulness plays a crucial role in this process. By cultivating #awareness, we can: ✅ Identify: Recognize and label the emotions we are experiencing. This simple act of naming can reduce the intensity of the emotion. ✅ Understand: Gain insight into the underlying causes and triggers of our emotions. This understanding can foster a deeper sense of self-awareness. ✅ Respond: Develop healthier and more effective ways to respond to our emotions, rather than reacting impulsively.
