Our earnings this morning (https://ow.ly/2ENv50RQPA6) provide some highlights of our journey in shaping the future together: - Improving Healthcare: We are gaining momentum in the fast-growing surgical robotics market, where our precise signal processing and connectivity products make a big difference for people around the world. - Advancing Industrial: We’re working with our customers to build the Digital Factory of the future, moving to higher bandwidth industrial Ethernet that can connect up to 10 times more devices on the factory floor. - Using AI: We’re adding AI to our technology to meet customer needs faster. For example, we’re using AI in our power management platform to adjust power trees for changing consumption patterns in data centers. Our solutions make it easier and quicker for power engineers, saving money and time. There were many more examples, such as optical connectivity infrastructure for AI, neural networks for audio, GMSL for ADAS, BMS in Europe.... too many to count! Every single person on your team — no matter what their position is — should know and live by your company’s values. When I first joined Coherent Corp. (known as II-VI at the time) as a board member, we had 7 values. They were printed on the back of everyone’s business card but, still, I could never remember them all. In the wake of a large acquisition, I was walking around various facilities and chatting with everyone. I asked if anyone knew what our company’s values were — and no one knew them! That was a hint of an opportunity. I realized that the acquisition was a period of transformation for the company, and it was an opportunity to revisit our values. I remember studying the values of all the S&P 500 companies for inspiration, taking into consideration the founding values of II-VI as well as the values of the companies we had acquired. Eventually, I decided on: ICARE which stands for integrity, collaboration, accountability, respect and enthusiasm. Taken in that order, they have allowed our team to declare “I care” as the primary reason for working at Coherent and helping change the world. I firmly believe that values (and sticking to them) are integral to a company’s success. This might be a little bold to say but as far as I know, today, there’s no one in the company that doesn’t know what our values are.

Today’s Lunar Lake architecture news was a huge highlight at #Computex2024. While onstage, Pat Gelsinger revealed the architectural details of Lunar Lake – our flagship processor for the next generation of AI PCs. Lunar Lake was redesigned from the ground up to set a new bar for x86 power efficiency and unmatched #AI compute. It includes new P-cores and E-cores that deliver significant performance and energy efficiency improvements, a fourth-generation NPU with over 48 TOPS of AI performance – 3x faster than the previous generation – and an all-new GPU with improved gaming and graphics performance. Lunar Lake is an example of our IDM 2.0 strategy that empowers design teams to select the optimal process technologies that meet our product timing and performance goals. These processors will power more than 80 different AI PC designs from 20 OEMs, as we expect to deploy more than 40 million Core Ultra processors in market this year...it’s a big year for AI PCs, to say the least!
