“Jackie and I shared a passion for connecting Denver Zoo's Spanish-speaking guests to the zoo's mission. She was a solid supporter of this effort and was a strong advocate for the value to both guests and the zoo in this effort. Some of our joint projects included preparing materials in Spanish for the website and providing the seasonal zoo map in Spanish as well. During this time period the new app launched and it debuted with the majority of animal content in Spanish - a huge step forward for the institution. Denver Zoo is often rated as a welcoming cultural organization to Latino guests, including those who speak Spanish primarily. This is an important contribution to the community that Jackie can be proud to share.”
