It totally depends on how many asset classes you have worked on and how easily you can understand the real estate issues and articulate the revenue and expenses for any asset class. Also, if you have knowledge in a particular asset class, for example, multifamily, then you should know everything about this asset class, starting from T12 and rent roll analysis to deep market research for occupancy and rental income and the operating expenses and cap rate. Obviously, to achieve mastery, you need to gain some experience, but based on my experience, for an average talent, it can be covered in a year or two.

Based on my five years of experience in the CRE industry, mastering these skills is essential for significant growth:- Advanced Excel: Master complex functions, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
