It's important to make sure everyone feels heard. List everyone's theories. Assign data collection tasks. Discuss the data and see which theory it points to. You may find that it points to something different.

Transparency can be a good thing, but only share what you know. As network security engineers we do not want to over share. Just stick to the facts and don't lay blame anywhere.

Certifications can act as leverage, but don't let that be the only leverage. Show how those certifications can benefit the company in the short and long term.

I think just showing that you are willing to learn these skills might be enough. Employers are constantly on the lookout. Posting your new skills on LinkedIn let employers know a lot of things. It shows not only are you upskilling, but that you are willing to learn.

What I find that helps is to engage with my spouse. She always finds interesting topics for us to discuss. It definitely helps get my mind off work.

It's normal to be a little anxious when problems arise. The key is to remember you have the training and the expertise. Let yourself be ok with whatever the outcome is. Because, sometimes a solution isn't always apparent on the first go.
