Change Orders for the client and SCOs for the subs...and these dollars must be tracked. For a GC, projects are built on contracts and good contract management. This is your new world, and if you hate paperwork, it is not for you. This is the business of construction. If you walk into any large contractor's office, it is filled with project managers sitting at computers. Meetings discussing contract issues Accountants, estimators, and conference rooms.
