The report reveals that Indian employees’ inability to work productively at the office is hampered most by noise, or problems with temperature and air quality. Finding no time to exercise or staying active during the workday is an additional challenge that can cause physical and mental exhaustion. The challenges faced in the field of architecture are undeniable. The pressure from competition, clients, economic setbacks, workplace culture, negativity, toxicity, and political situations worldwide can make the profession incredibly demanding. Many architects find themselves questioning their career choices as they experience a large exodus from the field. A City's Identity Carved in its blooming flowers Bangalore's identity has long been dominated by the image of towering tech companies and bustling avenues. Yet, beneath this veneer of steel and glass lies a forgotten layer- its tree-lined avenue in a constant cascade of blooms. This verdant landscape, a testament to thoughtful design and a deep respect for nature, was the defining feature of the city, an architectural marvel beyond the realm of buildings and infrastructure. The concept behind Bangalore's serial bloom is twofold:    - Planned Urban Greenery: The city was designed with a thoughtful integration of trees. Wide avenues were lined with species chosen for their shade and seasonal flowers, creating a natural calendar of colour throughout the year. Imagine driving down an avenue where every few months a new species bursts into colour. This ever-changing display set Bangalore apart from cities with static landscapes.    - Respect for Nature: The local culture has traditionally revered trees. Many large, old trees were often preserved within residential plots, fostering a connection with nature and providing much-needed respite from the urban heat. In essence, Bangalore's blooming trees was woven into the very fabric of the city. They were a defining characteristic of its landscape, shaping its aesthetics, ecology, and even the cultural identity of its residents. Losing them would be akin to erasing a significant part of what makes Bangalore unique. Unfortunately, “Development” often translates to mindless tree felling. This not only disrupts the delicate balance of the serial bloom but also severs the city's connection to its natural heritage. Today's social media awash with "breath-taking" photos of these very same blossoms feels like a hollow echo of what once was. These weren't new discoveries, but a cherished heritage, mindlessly sacrificed. It's time for a paradigm shift. Much like Japan's reverence for cherry blossoms during Hanami, Bangalore must reconnect with the transient beauty of its ever-blooming trees. Even in a city blessed with perpetual spring, appreciating this ephemeral wonder is crucial. The challenge lies not just in planting new trees, but in cultivating a culture that cherishes them. We need to go beyond social media appreciation and actively protect our green spaces. . Only then can Bangalore reclaim its true identity, a city where nature and progress coexist.

The Construction Industry in India is a large contributor to the National GDP, and Architecture plays a pivotal role in this industry. India continues to grow at a rapid pace as evident from its vigour seen in infrastructure developments across the country. Despite the demand, we have a shortage of architects in India.          'WHY ARCHITECTURE?' is a 15-minute short documentary film made primarily to bring awareness of the education and professional practice of Architecture amongst aspiring high school students and their parents, who are looking for career options. This documentary film is made by my Managing Director, Mr. Ramprasad Akkisetti, for the Council of Architecture, a statutory regulatory body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Roadways to our Future: I am honored to announce that I will be keynote speaking at the 2024 Construction in Indian Country (CIIC) conference, providing a presentation titled “Coming full Circle - Architecture and Cultural Identity in the advocacy for an American Indian Architecture". This keynote is designed to present a rationale towards meaning in architecture, itself a topic that can attract students, professionals, and ethnocultural advocates within the greater design community. In the process, it presents an interpretive framework for not only how American Indian values can be more meaningfully represented in their architecture today, but also how these values can become a more evolved and matured set of values for American architecture itself, specifically in the American West. The notion of meaning beyond simple consumerism, an exhausted concentration upon the functional imperative, and bankrupt formal exercises is a specifically salient topic in architectural education and practice today, and as such, gives the American Indian culture a ‘seat at the table’ in helping to inform a more meaningful American architecture ‘writ-large’. While very cool, this project isn’t just about the images. Making the workplace look good is a given. The question is how do we create the right #impact for our clients?   First, we identify the key objective. How could 7-Eleven excite and attract talent in a market where most individuals hadn’t interacted with or experienced the brand?   Of course, the idea of Brand Immersion in workplaces is not new. But it is often loftily presented yet only skin deep. That would never be enough here. It was clear that, here, we needed to go beyond core values, brand colours and graphics – we needed to “Take it to Eleven”. And thanks to the uncompromising commitment to the vision that the client (Jennifer Goschke, Aravinda S.K) and the entire project team had, that ethos translated to reality in Bangalore.   While very cool, this project isn’t just about the images. It’s about all the work that went into realizing all the spaces, moments and experiences in between.
