The Area Coalitions for Education Excellence (ACE-E) is a grassroots organization that supports inner city youth and the children of men and women serving in the military. The vehicle for this support is through mentoring relationships and student mentees completing three projects as a collaboration between students, their families, public schools, Federal installations, and ACE-E.
These individuals serve as local volunteer mentors/tutors to at-risk public school students and the…The Area Coalitions for Education Excellence (ACE-E) is a grassroots organization that supports inner city youth and the children of men and women serving in the military. The vehicle for this support is through mentoring relationships and student mentees completing three projects as a collaboration between students, their families, public schools, Federal installations, and ACE-E.
These individuals serve as local volunteer mentors/tutors to at-risk public school students and the children of servicemen and women in grades 2 through 12 during a 3-month to 10-month time period. All students individually earn a laptop/computer -- that is the ACE-E major cost item and most needed financial donation -- through their mentoring relationships in completing three projects:
1. a Microsoft WORD resume/autobiography,
2. a Microsoft EXCEL individual math oriented life-budget spreadsheet, and
3. a PowerPoint presentation of "Lessons Learned" to ACE-E Trustee Members.
All projects are completed in collaboration with public school leaders, federal installation commanders/leaders, ACE-E Trustees/Members, and students' families. Your donation for laptops/computers "Give forward to the community..." having diverse immeasurable meaning.
