What are the most effective ways to align your coaching practice with your personal values?
The question is - aligning my coaching practice with my personal values - what else to consider? As a coach, I need to know my core values and follow ICF principles to ensure I am showing up as I should. But then, it's all about the client. It's not about me. Again, it's not about me; it's about the client. If a client is looking for a coach, they should ask about the coach's core values, guiding principles, and coaching philosophy to ensure they can build rapport and trust. But then the coach needs to keep the relationship focused on them - the client. It is the client's journey, not the coach's.

How can you align your human capital management program with your organization's values and culture?
I love walking into an organization and seeing its values printed on its walls. Then, as you walk through the organization or work with the team, you see them come to life. You can feel them being lived out through the employees. How does an organization get its values baked into their culture? They are front and center for every decision made - at every company level.

Your non-profit needs to communicate more effectively. How can you use technology to achieve this?
Communicate often and in different ways to reach your audience. If possible ask how they would like to receive information and use technology to make it happen as requested. Don’t assume one vehicle will reach everyone. Or that there is one vehicle that everyone prefers. As a nonprofit, always keep a fiscal responsibility lens to what you are spending dollars on to reach your audiences. Make sure you are looking at the ROI.

How can coaches create more diverse and inclusive coaching programs?
My self-assessment began when I found the Harvard Implicit Association Test (IAT). It is a psychological tool designed to measure implicit biases related to race, gender, and other social identity factors. Super helpful to uncover my own biases before I could move to the other steps!

On August 8, 2017, Simon Says Give and Mall of America partnered to provide 2,500 children with Birthday Boxes. These boxes had everything a child and 10 friends needed to celebrate birthday joy with. This team worked all summer to pull off an event that put over $500,000 worth of impact back into the MN community and some national exposure.
