I've spent some time getting to grips with #Midjourney (image generation) and #LumaDreamMachine (a transformer model that creates video from image/text generation) and put together this short edit of what 1950's Paris might've looked like according to AI. There's been so much talk of "AI taking our jobs" over the past couple of years but now that I've spent some time learning how to use it, to me it's simply becoming another tool that we can harness to produce results. Editing in the future will probably involve a lot more focus around prompting image/video generation, similar to coding in a way. That being said, learning how to effectively prompt to get the results I wanted was very frustrating which is why everyone in this video ended up wearing sunglasses. It was a Parisian looking solution to a crazy AI faces and eyes problem. What are your thoughts about AI sites like Midjourney/Luma? Is it worth the hype or are you not really phased by it? With AI, anyone can prompt some convincing video and string it together with narration, but getting actors in the correct wardrobe, getting them to speak their lines, and getting controlled movements is an entirely different beast. Here's the latest and greatest from our team. The workflow consists of meticulous comps and layered animations. Animations need to be derived from various processes depending on the approach. AI feels like magic sometimes, but the reality requires meticulous work and a tenacious attitude.
