As of February 2023, there were 755,743 cybersecurity job openings in the United States and this number is growing! In my 20 years in the cybersecurity profession I have seen numerous challenges as the demand for qualified security professionals has outpaced the supply. InferSight's CISO Peter Tran was fortunate to be able to sit down with Suzanne Wright to chat about how to innovate cybersecurity recruitment particularly how diversity can help boost the pipeline of talent and the profession. Diversity can hold very different meanings to different people. To Peter Tran, it means opening up one's aperture to consider a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, experience, approaches, challenges, solutions, and skillsets.
