Offer Whitepapers and training material, articles and facts as to why you offer something Nader, better, faster AND more cost efficient. 4. Include Past Performance and proof you can do the work. 5. Just a couple of updates as I am getting a lot of questions: 1) An ESS is a 1740 under the GS / NAF systems. But, we call the person in this role the VolEd PM or VolEd Chief for the Marine Corps. 2) Yeah, the person may be able to telework, but this is not a remote position. 3) Yes, this person sits on the InterService Voluntary Education Board and represents the MC’s Voluntary Education position with the other VolEd Service Chiefs and OSD. 4) No, this is not a GS position. We are NAF. Hope this information helps folks decide if the position is a good fit.

Key Insights from Helping Over 1500 Service Members and Military Spouses Since 2016, I've helped over 1500 service members and military spouses find meaningful employment through Hire Heroes USA. This journey has provided invaluable insights into job seeking for this community. Now, as I support my husband through his military transition, these lessons are even more personal. Here are some key takeaways: Start Early and Plan Ahead: Begin exploring career options well in advance. The separation process from the military is long and stressful, involving numerous medical appointments and paperwork. Despite the busy schedule, don't put your job search on the back burner. Network: Leverage connections, attend job fairs, and use LinkedIn. Job seeking is all about who you know, so tell everyone that you are looking for a job. Networking can open doors that might otherwise remain closed. When you apply for a role online try and find someone who works at the company / the hiring manager on LinkedIn- reach out and let them know you applied. Tailor Applications: Customize your resume and cover letter for each job. Companies rely heavily on applicant tracking systems, which identify candidates who are a good fit for the role. While it may take about an hour for each application, the effort will pay off. Utilize Resources: The government often doesn't adequately prepare service members for their transition. This gap is why Hire Heroes USA exists. Take advantage of available resources and support programs designed specifically for veterans and military spouses. Ask questions, come prepared, and show genuine interest in the role and the company. Stay Resilient: Maintain a positive attitude and learn from rejections. Job seeking is challenging and often takes longer than expected. Stay focused and don't give up—when one door closes, another will open. Self-Reflect: Stay true to yourself. Job seeking is not just about qualifications but also about personality and cultural fit. Sometimes, the more likable candidate who fits well with the company culture gets the role. Be kind in all your interactions with organizations. Helping others find meaningful employment has been a rewarding experience. Do You Have The Top Skills Government Contractors Are Hiring for in the IndoPacific? As the Indo-Pacific region continues to play a critical role in global security, the Department of Defense (DOD) is beefing up their support to the region. With renewed support from Congress each year, the Pacific Deterrance Initiative, or PDI has enabled many prime, sub and small business defense contractors to bid on and win new work in the region. Logistics and Supply Chain Management – Ensuring that materials, personnel, and resources are efficiently deployed across the region is essential for both mission success and operational readiness. 3. Foreign Relations and Cultural Intelligence– Contractors working with allied nations need team members who can navigate complex diplomatic and cultural landscapes. 4. Engineering and Technical Skills, including Data Science – The demand for engineers, especially in the fields of aerospace, defense systems, and communications, continues to rise. The ongoing demand for data specialist, analysts and scientists is at an all time high. 5.
