Safe Kids Austin Mission & Vision

The mission of Safe Kids Austin is to reduce childhood injury and death in children ages 14 and under. Our vision is to create safer communities in the Austin Metropolitan Area and surrounding counties.

Who We Are

Safe Kids Austin, led by Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, the nation’s first non-profit organization dedicated solely to the prevention of accidental childhood injury. Safe Kids Worldwide is made up of more than 600 state and local Safe Kids coalitions in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Safe Kids Austin is a community coalition consisting of more than 30 community, civic, and state organizations. The coalition focuses on reducing child injury primarily by promoting safety in vehicles, in and around water, and while walking and biking.

2023- Served as Chair for the Chamber's annual Greater Austin Business Awards. Along with the committee increased nominations nearly doubling, with 700 attendees for the fall event.

2024- Serving as Chair again, along with a Co-Chair and committee gained record nominations. Currently promoting fall event.
