Diversity drives engagement in period content and beyond
M&E Journal
As a period piece fan and history nerd, this was one of my favorite projects to contribute to. The incredible Gracenote Inclusion Analytics Team explored the impact of casting Black talent in period content and our research found these programs were some of the best performing in the genre. Huge thanks to Maryl and Mark Yamada for making it happen!

We produced a primary research project to understand how our generation interacts with media as our capstone project with Nielsen Local Media Client Services. “Media Trends & the iLocal Generation” was our attempt to understand our generation’s media behavior and bring these insights to senior management team in awe of the disappearing younger demographic among traditional media. The project scope included fielding a survey and capturing qualitative insights from video diary participants.
