  • Development of High-Speed ADC for SiGe Bolometer Based IR Imaging Systems

    Performance specific realistic constraints of our project is to meet Figure of Merit of ideal power, speed, resolution and available technology (65 nm CMOS) which channeled us to design an 8-bit SAR (Successive Approximation Register) ADC with sampling rate of 250 Mega sample per second. The intended use of projected ADC is SiGe Bolometer based IR Imaging System.

    The CMUcam4 is an optical color recognition system which can be used for determining the specific location of objects. This Project aimed to learn information about of an object and transfer this information to an online system by using CMUcam4.Our project's focus is a basic pendulum system which is weight suspended from the pivot and able to easily rotate around fixed support. In the processing part, we will test the system in order to try determine the location of an object which rotates around fixed support.

    In simple words, the CMUcam4 can be used to track colors or gather simple statistics of an image like coordinates or the position vector of the object. For instance, it can easily track a red ball on a white background because the color difference between the objects is more detectable. Using color statistics, it is possible for the CMUcam4 to observe a scene, detect a specific color, or do primitive motion detection. People can use CMUcam4 to do color tracking, skin tracking or make a robot which can be followed the colored objects. Examples like that can be multiplied.

    In this project our main aim is develop a system which can recognize plant images according to their Region of Interests(ROI). Our task is help to development of the plant-based recognition system and our task is mainly consisting of two steps; data collecting and learning.
