This app supports individuals from Day One of incarceration through community peer coach interventions, partnering closely with the corrections system. Unlike traditional punitive approaches, this program prepares individuals for a new, positive approach to life once released. The program has delivered successful metrics offline and is now scaling to more counties in its home state. 🔍 How We'll Achieve This: A Module-based MVP Approach We're developing a modular platform that can be flexibly deployed and adapted to different use cases. The MVP will focus on essential features to meet core needs, providing social, emotional, and practical tools and data to change mindsets. I wasn’t planning on attending #RailsWorld 2024—didn’t have tickets, didn’t think I’d make it. But then, a bit of serendipity happened! Amanda Perino, Executive Director of the Ruby on Rails Foundation, posted that she had a few extra tickets from folks who couldn’t attend due to various reasons, including Hurricane Helene’s impact. Next thing I knew, I was there! Rails has always been the perfect platform for us. It’s a framework for developers who love to code and create. That passion is something we value deeply in our team. Plus, it’s a true one-person framework—there’s no need for complex division between front-end and back-end, which lets us stay lean and agile. I see Avinash Joshi, my awesome technical co-founder, nodding his head in agreement. It's thanks to him that we stay on top of the latest and greatest tech implementations. And here’s something for the CEOs out there: having a technical background is invaluable in building a tech company. It’s not just about understanding the code; it’s about being able to back up technical decisions when it counts. Was chatting with Gabi yesterday about all things referrals. There's one huge benefit to asking for referrals that most folks don't consider: It's a great way to qualify prospects out. Think about it - if I’ve been trying to break into an account for a while, let's say I decide to ask Gabi for an introduction to Jen, who is the my target within that account… If I'm doing this the right way, I'm sending Gabi an email, requesting an introduction, that he can simply forward along to Jen to see if she's open to meeting with me. In that email includes, of course, some context around Sales Assembly and a compelling reason to meet with me. And it gives Jen the chance to opt in, or out, of the introduction. If Jen reads that email and responds to Gabi that: - Now's not a good time - They'd never be able to put together budget - The problem Sales Assembly solves was just solved through another solution That's all great intel! Now I don't have to keep banging my head against a wall trying to get in touch with Jen or someone else at her org. My time can be invested elsewhere. - If now's not a good time, I can try again in a few months. - If they just bought a competing solution, I can try again before their renewal. Regardless, I can spend my time trying to get in touch with prospects that might actually wanna talk to me, and ignore the ones who dont. *inb4 Jen says she would never agree to meet with me, and is surprised that anybody does.

Local in-person events are giving you access to rooms you would never be able to join otherwise. I've never experienced this fact so vividly like on Pavilion's #GTM2024 in Austin. Lauren Shleifer Goldstein led an outstanding session on "Organizing GTM Operating Capabilities for PE and VC firms", which opened my eyes to the fact above. During the pandemic, I've been a huge fan of online formats. While it was a pure necessity to be online vs. face to face, I felt that it opened up an endless opportunity to learn and grow for me. However, after a while things became repetitive, energy draining and I disconnected. The pure and unique thing about meeting in person is that every interaction could be an opportunity to open up a completely new part of your network, a new perspective on a perception you had or simply a door to a room which I would just not have able to tap into being connected online.
