Previously, under the direction of the Education Administrator and Animal Care Manager, I assisted weekly with the professional care and maintenance of Wildlands Conservancy’s education animals which include mostly native raptors, small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and arthropods.
The Wildlands Conservancy in Emmaus is a non-profit organization that protects and restores natural areas in the Lehigh River watershed. They have over 14,000 acres of protected land, including forests, meadows, wetlands, and streams. The Conservancy also offers a variety of programs and events to educate the public about their work and to encourage people to get involved in conservation. -

The PECTO Network is comprised exclusively of technology professionals on staff at venture capital, private equity, and leveraged buyout firms. The members manage their firm’s information technology, infrastructure, and telecommunications initiatives. Three chapters have been formed – Boston, the founding chapter, New York, and West Coast, represented by the Venture Capital Information Technology (VCIT) group as well as additional members throughout the U.S. and Europe. Oh, it's so good to see Microsoft FINALLY responding to our cries for a fix to Outlook scheduler--I raised this in May 2023 and was told it was de-prioritized in the Microsoft pipeline)! They have updated the meeting invite/response protocol and I promise it will have far reaching impact to how people use, and appreciate, their office! Just ask Google users who already had it! The result of this [seemingly easy, but delayed feature] will have the following benefits: - People will be more likely to choose being together if key participants or the majority of participants will be in person. - Rather than mandating a decision to be in the office, this maintains choice for employees to decide how they can be most effective and will nudge behavior changes. - Togetherness drives belonging, trust, and positive employee experience which in turn drives positive organizational health and performance. - Real estate assets that are already invested in will get greater utilization than the post-pandemic workplace has been seeing.
