I joined the Board to help CACF build a unified Asian American community too powerful to ignore through legislative successes and coalition-building with over 60 AAPI community-based organizations as partners.

SPBA is a hyper-local community organization that advances the interests of our diverse, 1,000-resident block in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. We seek to build bridges with our neighboring communities in central Brooklyn.

Trestle Collaborative is a nonprofit creating a future where technology amplifies people-powered movements for democracy, equity and justice. Trestle is the only organization of its kind. Trestle bridges the lack of tech talent in the progressive space with a paid talent model & focus on recruiting and retaining more diverse senior technologists to the movement. BTHS is the largest high school in the United States by number of students and square footage, with over 6,000 students on 7 floors on about 2/3 of one city block. The Board governs the works of the staff and serves as an adjudicatory body for disputes between candidates and staff.

Tipping Point Partners, Pivotal, and Method partnered with the CFB on a pro bono basis to use technology to enhance the connections between candidates and voters and to remove friction between candidates and regulators. VAAC’s mandate is to re-invigorate civic engagement with municipal elections by improving the voting experience. VAAC convenes the only public meeting of ordinary New Yorkers and NYC elected and appointed officials responsible for voting. VAAC operates under the NYC Campaign Finance Board.

CUNY TAP selects 20 students from the 500,000 students in the City University of New York for a competitive, one-year program that bridges traditional computer science education with the needs of the NYC tech community. TAP is taught and advised by senior technologists drawn from NYC startups, who then provide apprenticeship and employment opportunities.

BPL would be the 8th largest public library system in the U.S., 80 branches, no more than 1/2 mile of every Brooklyn resident. Huge opportunity to provide physical and community platform for digital literacy.

Safe Horizon is the largest non-profit in the U.S. focused on victims of domestic violence and child abuse and one of the first to adopt a model of integrated services.
