Alex DuVall, PE is a Project Engineer and Project Manager at Toole Design Group. She works on bicycle and pedestrian safety improvement projects, like safe routes to school, Local Road Safety Plans, and Vision Zero projects. Alex also works with Toole Design's New Mobility group, specializing in electric modes.
Alex graduated from Columbia University with her BS in Civil Engineering (Structural) with a minor in Architecture and Urban Planning. She later graduated from Stanford University with her MS in Sustainable Design and Construction (Sustainable Urban Systems and Structural).
Alex is the Glass Ceiling Chair of WTS Puget Sound (Women Transportation Seminar), and previously served as the Diversity Committee Chair. She is a member of SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) and Lean In Seattle.
When not working, Alex travels around the world. So far she has been to Mexico, Canada, Iceland, France, Germany, Russia, Mongolia, China, Korea, Poland, Hungary, Czech, and Italy. Next on her travel list: Norway. And later, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
