I think joining a mentorship organization can be incredibly valuable. I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters as a Big and it changed my life. I was able to pour into someone who didn't even know what they were looking for in a mentor and watch him grow into an exceptional young man.

I love tracking emails. It's how I got the first big influencer to promote my business. I use Yeswear as it integrates into Gmail and shows me the time and location my emails are open. I love using google docs to monitor changes to documents and surveys I share with collaborators as well. Monday.com is my go-to for project management, it has tones of features and looks pretty.

I'm a slack-a-holic. Way better than email. I use Calendly to schedule appointments. I use Wix for my personal site to sell courses and have only classes. And I use QuickBooks for invoices from clients.

I recommend using LinkedIn, its the best communication toll out there for broad mentorship reach. That being said for one-on-one I recommend a video chatting platform or a tailored solution like Dell's new mentorship platform.

While some may call me the "Pitch Pastor" a pitch can only take you so far. You must follow up and continue to provide value to maintain your following. A good first impression is good, but shes who is consistent secures the bag.

I speak for free at least a few times a month. It's not always about me, it's about who I can help. I only made it this far because of motivational videos on YouTube and great mentors. I didn't pay for any of it. I didn't have the mindset or the money to invest in my future. But I had the time and the intuition to listen. Be the voice for change for another, as someone was the voice for you.
