Graduation season has come to a close, but the profound experience of being among accomplished individuals in a prestigious setting still leaves me in awe. The highlight of it all was the presence of His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, the 4th president of Namibia! As the excitement settles, the complexities of blending passion with practical knowledge begin to unfold. Now, faced with a series of decisions, I find myself constantly seeking what is best for my future. The pressure to make the right choices has me eagerly scanning every job listing, particularly those that boldly proclaim "we are hiring!" My determination to secure the ideal opportunity has me meticulously evaluating each option. Navigating life as a recent graduate is a unique journey, having absorbed a myriad of legal concepts and analytical abilities during my time in law school. This has ignited a deep desire within me to delve into various professional settings, although I am unsure if this eagerness will translate into immediate success. But I pray for patience! The anticipation of stepping into the unknown reveals a multitude of opportunities across different corporate landscapes. I am eager to expand my knowledge continuously, as I firmly believe in the adage "as a man thinketh, so is he!" Furthermore, I am actively seeking answers to numerous questions that continue to shape my path forward!

I Think the first every student needs to be thought in the university or polytechnic is "Life After the Bsc or HND or whatsoever degree". The most important thing is to teach us what life is after school. Maybe life would turn another dimension if only we were told that a degree does not get you a job you want, other than getting you a job that fits your ability. And when I mean ability, it goes beyond your first class and your second class, far beyond that. After school, you'll get to see people who don't even have the degree you have getting paid even 2x the amount you earn, even combined with your NYSC money. By then, you'll start wondering if all the years you spent in school were a waste of time, but believe me it's not. It's just that we were not informed; all we wanted was to pass and compete among ourselves. I'll share you a story, it's kinda funny, but it's not funny because it was my own story. I went for a job interview in Lagos. That was my first time going for an interview. With the cloth I wore, I myself knew I had messed up. I wasn't wearing a white shirt that could be a bonus, but I was wearing a native dress, looking like a senator that has a lot of things to offer. On getting there, I was told to wait at the receptionist. I wasn't afraid then because I thought I had it covered, not knowing that I would be covered with embarrassment at the end of the interview. After a long wait, I was told to enter. I entered, greeted him, and he asked me to sit. Even my getting the job was the help of one of my sisters. To cut the long story short, we started with the interview. One thing I learned about interviews was to look directly at the interviewer's eye, maintaining eye contact. So, I stared at him. He started with, "What did you study?" For a moment, I was happy because my course is not that bad. Then I replied, "Political science." Before I even landed, he said, "Your degree does not even matter. What matters is the skill you have and how you can help our company grow." That moment I was confused. He then proceeded to ask, "Can you work on PowerPoint? Can you do graphic design? Can you do video editing?" That moment, I thought to myself if I'm actually worthy of being called a graduate. But it's not too late To get those Skill even as a graduate. visit https://lnkd.in/gaM5kn5k And thank me later

We believe that a global connected society is created by and for real people. When you move, we follow. You discover, we guide. You connect, we integrate.
Variety in everyday working life is the salt in the soup..... That's why I completed a small field service assignment today and supported our operational team. My destination: The Bavarian state government in Munich. My job: To have naturalisation certificates apostilled My benefit: Getting out of my desk chair, a bit of fresh air (memo to myself: get the winter jacket out of the wardrobe) and the experience that our authorities also have friendly civil servants who are also on their toes. And yes, this service can also be found in the Expat Management Group's portfolio. But what is an 'apostille' and what do you need it for? An apostille is a legalisation for documents that confers international validity. It confirms authenticity and is required for foreign recognition of birth certificates, diplomas, etc., and facilitates administrative procedures and legal recognition between countries.

Lots of people ask me what I do. When I tell them I have the best job no one has ever heard of, they agree. As we launch more education and outreach initiatives next year, more people will become aware of the important work we do in Canada and around the world. This video shows some of the areas we are focusing on and working to improve. https://lnkd.in/eAfRr3GA
