#sourcing A key stage for seeking potential candidates, the majority of our management or executive placements (because we look for it) have studied or completed an internship abroad and participated in Erasmus, Erasmus or for UK based candidates today, the new Turing scheme post-Brexit. Fast Facts: More than 9 million people have participated in the Erasmus programme since its creation. In the year of launch in 1987 c.3000 studied, as compared to over 300,000 annually today. Spain is the country that has allowed most people to participate in Erasmus, slightly ahead of France, Germany and Italy. There are currently more than 4,000 higher institutions participating in Erasmus across the 37 countries Erasmus students continue to be growing as a % of all graduations. In some countries secondary school students are allowed to participate as well. From our perspective: Those who studied abroad took on a personal challenge and have evidence of their willingness to test themselves albeit in a safe environment at an overseas college or Uni for example. 🔎 Visit EU Erasmus Site: https://lnkd.in/eEF6hSpr #learning #humanresources #talentacquisition #zurich #traverssearch

🇪🇺 Happy Europe Day!🇪🇺 On this special occasion, let's take a moment to reflect on the remarkable journey of the European Union. The EU has been a beacon of progress, lifting millions out of poverty and enhancing our quality of life. From robust social safety nets to cutting-edge research and innovation, our standards of living have soared. Remember the days when Europe was torn apart by devastating wars? The EU emerged as a force for peace, binding nations together in a shared commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and understanding. Today, this pivotal role emerges even stronger 🕊️ Today, the EU isn't just about borders; it's about breaking them down. It's about Erasmus exchanges, cross-cultural friendships, and the thrill of discovering new perspectives. Our horizons have expanded beyond geography, embracing diversity and unity. 🌐 As a fortunate European, I've had the privilege of experiencing the EU's transformative power firsthand: - 🇱🇹 Lithuania: An enriching internship that broadened my skills and worldview. - 🇧🇪 Belgium: A place of academic excellence where I pursued my studies. - 🇪🇸 Spain: A vibrant work environment that fueled my passion. - 🚆 ✈️And those train rides, flights, and road trips across the continent? Each one felt like coming home. Europe, with its diverse cultures, landscapes, and cuisines, is my cherished home. So today, let's celebrate the EU—the force that unites us, empowers us, and reminds us that together, we're stronger. 🤝 #EUROPEANUNITY #EuropeDay #ProudEuropean #EU #EuropeanUnion

Contemplating the symphony of my life's transitions - from Venezuela's vibrant rhythms to the diverse cadence of the United States, then onward to the cultural canvas of Mexico before settling in the embrace of Pamplona, Spain - I find myself reflecting on the road less traveled: my choice not to embark on the Erasmus adventure during my international relations studies. Life, for me, has been an intricate mosaic of cultural immersion and experiential learning. Each shift in geography has been a new chapter, an immersive lesson in the intricate dance of global dynamics. The decision not to partake in Erasmus wasn't a mere deviation from convention but a deliberate choice to seek knowledge beyond the structured corridors of academia. While Erasmus beckons with its promise of expansive horizons, my journey has been one where the world served as my classroom. Each location, each interaction, has been a brushstroke on the canvas of my understanding of international relations. It's through this kaleidoscope of experiences that I've gleaned insights into diplomacy, governance, and the universal language of humanity. My choice not to follow the well-trodden Erasmus path doesn't negate its significance; rather, it celebrates the myriad ways individuals can grasp the tapestry of global relations. It embodies the belief that true wisdom often flourishes in the less-traveled avenues, where personal encounters and cultural immersion weave a tapestry of enlightenment far richer than the confines of a structured program. As I stand today, a culmination of diverse influences and myriad encounters, I invite you to consider that sometimes, the road less taken, the choice not made, holds within it the seeds of wisdom and the hues of a life painted with unconventional yet profoundly transformative experiences.
