ZwitterCo is on a mission to solve the world's most urgent water challenges. 💧🌎 In our latest video, CEO Alex Rappaport discusses the critical role water plays in the industries driving the transition to a low-carbon economy. However, as we continue to deplete our conventional water resources, these industries face significant challenges in accessing the vast amounts of purified water they need at a low cost. That's where ZwitterCo's breakthrough membrane technologies come in. By leveraging the power of zwitterions, we have developed fouling-resistant membranes that enable the treatment of the most challenging water and wastewaters. Our membranes have the fastest and easiest cleaning of any membrane in history, allowing for long-term operation in environments that would quickly destroy traditional membranes. With the $58.4 million Series B funding we announced this week https://lnkd.in/e_KBQpNU , we'll be able to accelerate the development and deployment of our complete filtration solutions, empowering industry leaders to solve their water and wastewater challenges and build a future of water abundance. We're excited to work together with our customers, investors, and partners to ensure safe, clean, and affordable water for generations to come. Check out the full video below to learn more about the importance of water in industry and how ZwitterCo is revolutionizing water treatment. #ZwitterCo #WaterInnovation #Sustainability #Decarbonization #SeriesB

Fouling of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes is a costly headache for industries trying to reuse wastewater. Frequent chemical cleaning degrades membranes, leading to more frequent replacements, higher costs, and lost production time. In a new article in Water Technology Online, our VP of Commercial Development Jon Goodman explains how ZwitterCo's innovative zwitterionic RO membranes are tackling this challenge head-on. Our membranes resist organic and biological fouling far better than standard "fouling-resistant" membranes, significantly reducing the need for chemical cleaning. The benefits are huge: 💧 Longer membrane life (potentially double or more) 💧 Lower operating costs 💧 More stable performance and permeate quality 💧 Less downtime for cleaning 💧 Reduced chemical usage and waste Industries like power generation, landfill leachate treatment, refining, and food & beverage that purify industrial water and wastewater are seeing the most dramatic results. One landfill operator is saving over $1,450 per 8" RO element per year through reduced cleaning frequency. After decades of only incremental advances in RO, it's exciting to see how zwitterionic chemistry can be a game-changer for efficient, sustainable wastewater reuse. Read the full article for details on how ZwitterCo is innovating RO to handle these challenging waters ⬇️
