It was a privilege last week to co-host the first in a series of events in collaboration with Wellcome Trust - Partnering for Progress: Building Industry-Academic Partnerships in Digital Mental Health. The lively and inspiring discussions spanned the huge potential for transformative digital interventions in mental health, the challenges and barriers we face, a look at some world-leading innovations in this space, and the power of true cross-sector collaboration. 🌎 Could you be Zinc's next Investment Associate? 🌎 We are hiring for an incredibly exciting new environment-focussed investment role within the Zinc team - could this be you, or someone you know? If you have a technical or academic background in climate or the environment space, and are ready to apply that experience and knowledge to the world of venture building and investing, this role could be for you. Key responsibilities: ▶ Support marketing campaigns to help find and invest in ambitious founders to join Zinc’s upcoming venture builder cohorts, and attract direct pre-seed investment opportunities. ▶ Support the assessment and conversion of new investment opportunities for Zinc across our various investment areas (environment and health). ▶ Conduct initial research on potential investment opportunities to include due diligence on tech, IP, commercial model, TAM, team and more. ▶ Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders including academic partners, corporates and funders. ▶ Help build Zinc's reputation in the community by developing marketing collateral including website, presentations, and social media content. ⁠▶ Be a core part of our ecosystem and events team, supporting networking events, both onsite and offsite.
