In today’s competitive landscape, manufacturing is increasingly reliant on automation for quality assurance and predictive maintenance. Fraunhofer presents a groundbreaking solution: Federated Learning (FL). This innovative approach enables the training of ML models on distributed data without compromising privacy. Key benefits of FL: 👉 Enhanced Privacy: Keeps sensitive data on-premises. 👉 Improved Accuracy: Trains models on larger, more diverse datasets. 👉 Reduced Costs: Eliminates the need for data centralization. Real-world applications: ✅ Defect Detection: Trained a federated model to identify defects in machined parts. ✅ Predictive Maintenance: Accurately predicted failures in Scania trucks' air pressure systems. Want to learn more about how FL can transform your manufacturing operations? https://bit.ly/3XDTwcS #manufacturing #automation #AI #FederatedLearning #privacy #qualityassurance #predictivemaintenance

I had the opportunity to present our paper titled: «On the Performance of OPC-UA over 5G NPN with Layer 2 Communication,» 🎯 An innovative solution that integrates #5G non-public networks with the #OPCUA communication model was introduced in collaboration with Neutroon. Layer 2 connectivity over a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN) tunnel was leveraged, and this solution was tested in a real additive manufacturing use case provided by AIMEN Centro Tecnológico, demonstrating its potential in industrial environments. 🗺️ This paper is just one part of the pioneering work being done by the Zero-SWARM project. We encourage you to dive deeper into our research and explore the wide range of publications that we’ve made available. https://lnkd.in/eUU8fcfe Whether you’re interested in 5G technologies, industrial communication, or advanced manufacturing, there’s something for everyone.
