ZelTech participated in Access Virginia’s 10th Anniversary Gala, where they raised additional funds to support their efforts to provide entertainment for those often forgotten because of their inability to be privileged with the ability to have sight or sound. Access Virginia is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to provide open captioning and audio description at live theatrical performances so that Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Blind Visually Impaired persons can attend concerts and experience the wonder of live entertainment at public facilities. ZelTech was honored at this event for being a great supporter for the past two years, providing Access Virginia with a space in our Hampton Facility to conduct their business. Congratulations to Mrs. Lois Boyle and her team on a memorable milestone event.

It was a momentous day at the 2024 H.A.T.C.H Youth Fest held in Hampton, Va on this past Saturday, July 13th. ZelTech was a proud event sponsor. The fest featured entrepreneurs in grades K-12 selling various products, books, and services. The theme for this year was Inspire. The fest celebrated Aberdeen Gardens icons such as NASA’s two Hidden Figures, Dorothy Vaughan, and Dr. Christine Darden. It was an honor meeting Mrs. Vaughan’s daughter and granddaughter and Dr. Darden’s two daughters. Adriene Crawley-Dent (ZelTech HR Director) also met Eli Mackey, the young author of Turtle Tales. Eli’s book is available on Amazon.

My colleague Charlotte Hurd and I Sylvester Harris would like to give a heartfelt gratitude to the PGA HOPE organization, Adam Relan, PGA Hope Tidewater Chapter Lead, and the staff at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth, VA for their support and opportunities provided to Veterans. During this six-week program, I experienced firsthand camaraderie, skill development and the therapeutic benefits of golf. The dedication and compassion created by the staff has enhanced my love for the game and contributed to my healthy work life balance. Adriene Crawley-Dent (HR Director) had the honor of presenting her ZelTech predecessor, Shirley Wills, emeritus status with the Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP). Ms. Wills was recognized for 10 years of distinguished service to HRCAP. She retired from ZelTech in 2021 after a stellar 30-year career. HRCAP connects people to educational, social, and economic programs that create self-sufficiency, thereby changing lives.
