Gig companies can continue to classify drivers as contractors in California. The California Supreme Court ruled that Proposition 22, a bill that allowed gig workers to be classified as independent contractors rather than employees, is here to stay. With recent agreements reached in Massachusetts and other states it's clear that each state is going to create it's own regulations around gig worker classification. Staying compliant is going to be more difficult, fines are going to increase, and costs of managing compliance are going to increase. https://hubs.li/Q02J49Hm0
