Learn about our programs! ⭐️ This summer, our architecture internship program introduced an incredible new experience for our students. After six weeks of intensive training, ten aspiring designers had the opportunity to collaborate on a week-long project with EMBARC  . They tackled an affordable housing initiative in Roxbury, combining their newfound skills with a commitment to community impact. 🏠✨ This hands-on project is just one of the amazing opportunities our Designery students get to experience. Recently at The Designery – 1️⃣ First day magic! Our participants gathered around and got to know each other by interviewing new friends and sharing what they learned. 🤝 2️⃣ On the second day, we dived into a hands-on exercise with the kit of parts from the Designery. Participants explored how to model a cube and imagined the possibilities of what that space could become. 🛠️✨ 3️⃣ Our students had the privilege of listening to London Parker-McWhorter, co-caretaker of the United Neighbors of Lower Roxbury (UNLR) Community Gardens. He shared the inspiring history of the garden and the advocates behind it. 🌿👂 4️⃣ First day at the Designery! Colin Willett, our Lead Designer, helped a student with their drawing activity, sparking creativity and skill-building. 🎨✏️
