We can't recycle our way out of this. This is (or was) the coast of Guatemala. If we don't do something, by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. Last year, we produced 238 million tons of single-use plastic packaging. 14% got recycled. We must change our single-use, throw-away culture. Instead of "just" focusing on recycling, here are other crucial concepts to work with: - refill - reuse - collect - reduce - recycle - eliminate - ecodesign Applied together, we can turn off the tap and end plastic pollution.
