To date, Young Mothers, Inc. has supported the lives of over 1,000 women through various campaigns and events while fostering volunteer opportunities for over 2,000 professionals and students! Our mission: Educating and mentoring young mothers to create healthier opportunities for themselves and their families Founded in 2011 as the brainchild of a young mother who struggled to find resources and support while trying to navigate the responsibilities of motherhood. Our founder, Kamille Bundy, fought through being a victim of domestic violence to create a safe and secure environment for herself and young child. It was through that emotional turmoil, hurt, and financial hardship that Kamille was able to connect with other mothers experiencing the same challenges. In addition to deficiencies in the financial resources, educational services, and wellness programs available to young mothers, Kamille observed that there was one common theme – feeling loved and valued on the journey of being better women, mothers, and members of their communities. Mission Educating, mentoring, nurturing, and supporting young mothers to become self-sufficient for themselves and their families. Vision A community where every young mother is empowered to thrive. Women over 21 2 Program Pillars Health and Wellness Education List of Goals Develop Programs that will serve as an educational outlet for young mothers needing help to secure housing, information and resources for the betterment of themselves and their children. Provide mentorships and connections to resources that will guide young mothers towards pathways and collaborations; steering them towards the self-sufficiency necessary to support themselves and their children. Grow as an organization through community activities in an effort to increase our visibility, raise funds and grow to service as many young mothers and families as possible.
