The Public Works Department, Animal Services Division is excited to hire a non-exempt Animal Medical Technician to join their team! The purpose of this position is to follow medical care directives, perform hourly medical facility rounds and medical treatments, assist the Veterinarian with emergency and critical care procedures, train and monitor new shelter staff members, officers to perform daily inventory, and order supplies. Evaluate animals before surgery, perform anesthetic induction, inhalant gas anesthesia, sterile surgical site preparation, assist the Veterinarian with surgery as requested, and monitor medical parameters.
