We are feeling extremely grateful today as we celebrate the generosity of our newest corporate partner BJ's Wholesale Club. BJ's Charitable Foundation gifted a $26,000 grant to fully underwrite the addition of a light breakfast for bus-riding day campers and afternoon snacks for ALL day campers. This ensures children are well-fed and energized when they arrive at camp and refueled before they head home each day. Luke Dooley (center), executive director of the Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center and Camp Widjiwagan, joined Brent Jacobs, club manager of BJ’s Wholesale in Mount Juliet, TN, for a special check presentation this morning. We cannot thank BJ's enough for their generosity and support. The impact of this gift will be immense! #ForABetterUs #YForAll #BJsWholesaleClub

Thank you to some great volunteers from Northwestern Mutual who enjoyed spending time with day campers at Camp Widjiwagan! They had fun working with campers during lunch, in the barn, at the pool, getting ready for the zip line and so much more. They all enjoyed being at camp for the afternoon! #ForABetterUs

Thank you to Memphis Grizzlies Youth Basketball for hosting a two-day basketball camp this week at the Northwest Family YMCA. The participants had an amazing time honing their b-ball skills, and Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard John Konchar came by to provide some pro-insight on the game! Thank you to all of the coaches and staff for an amazing experience. #BigMemphis

Today our YMCA staff participated in the national YMCA “We Wear Rainbow” initiative. YMCA staff wore rainbow to stand in solidarity with those working towards LGBTQ inclusion and equity. “We Wear Rainbow” is a recognition of the struggle for LGBTQ rights and the continued effort toward equality, and an opportunity to show our commitment to ensuring that the Y is a safe and supportive place for all!

Thanks for joining us at Nashville’s annual Pride Festival this past weekend! We loved learning more about how the Y can be a welcoming and supportive place for everyone in the Middle Tennessee community. A special thanks to the Y’s LGBTQ Resource Network for their leadership in organizing another great experience at Nashville Pride and for the work they do to support the LGBTQ community throughout the year. As Pride Month comes to an end, the Y remains committed to making Middle Tennessee a welcoming and inclusive place for all! #YForAll
