The most successful organizations a decade from now will be those that invested in campus recruiting today. Why? Because talent is ultimately what creates value within organizations. Think about today’s top companies – they’re investing in campus recruiting, and they’re doing it now. Students entering the workforce are eager to learn and better prepared than ever. When early-career hires grow within your company, they gain a deep understanding of your business, internal relationships, and mission, transforming into tomorrow’s leaders. The hiring managers you’ll depend on years from now might be the same students you’re meeting at career fairs today. And to secure them, you need a well-structured campus recruitment strategy that goes beyond just filling roles. While it may look like proper succession planning is easy, it takes dedicated early talent acquisition leadership, and the right tools, to create targets and then hire, inspire, and equip campus recruiters. Leadership needs real-time data to make adjustments, alongside historical insights to assess long-term strategy and improve on campus recruiting outcomes. Is your company building for the future, and do you have the right tools to hire early talent efficiently?

How federal agencies can use technology to support recent OPM and OMB guidance. Recent guidance from OPM and OMB outlined higher expectations for agencies to broaden their applicant pools and recruit more efficiently. Using the right technology will be essential to agencies navigating these changes in expectations. In a new interview with Federal News Network, Jon Newman explained how agencies can simplify hiring by using technology to centralize data, reduce time to hire, and streamline recruitment workflows. “Change is never an easy thing to overcome, and any kind of shift from a traditional process is a lot, but technology can help aid that change. Technology allows for opportunities to input evaluations or review forms in one system, so it’s all centralized into one place. You have end-to-end visibility. You’re tracking all your touch points from a candidate throughout the hiring process, from when they apply to when they’re onboarded. Allowing technology to really aid that change is going to enable organizations to position themselves as an employer of choice.” - Jon Newman, Director of Federal Programs We're here to help you shorten time to hire, engage with more candidates, and position your agency as employers of choice to Gen Z, all while supporting these new expectations. Check out the full interview to see how technology like Yello can help your agency. https://lnkd.in/edeGedGN

Connecting with Gen Z as an employer isn’t just about choosing the right distribution channels — it’s about effectively positioning your company and sharing content that resonates. Candidates want employers to share content that is authentic and relatable. Content could include showing what it's like to work at your company, what employee resource groups you have, or stories from your employees about their career journey. Gen Z candidates look for transparency and want to see what your company is really about. When creating content to engage with Gen Z, don't try to sell them on your company. Instead, showcase your employees and culture so that they can picture what it would look like for them to work at your organization. If the content feels forced or inauthentic, it won’t resonate and could damage your brand perception among candidates. TLDR: Engaging with Gen Z candidates is less about which channels you use and more about making sure your company is positioned as a place that gets Gen Z — by creating content that speaks to them, gives them a clear picture of your culture, and invites them to engage in a meaningful way.

Meeting hundreds of candidates, capturing their info, and evaluating potential hires is all part of the job for recruiters during campus events. With the high volume of candidates each recruiter is meeting at any given event, it's hard to evaluate each one. A lacking evaluation process leads to slower hiring and candidates falling through the cracks. Yello customers use our candidate evaluations tool to make faster hiring decisions and beat the competition to top talent by quickly advancing candidates through their hiring process. They’re able to identify top candidates early on and deliver automated feedback to candidates that aren’t a good fit, ensuring a positive experience for every candidate. If a candidate is a good fit, they can schedule interviews then and there, or allow the candidate to self schedule.
