WorkSource Coastal

The role of WorkSource Coastal is to provide the broad vision and leadership for our 10-county workforce development system which includes Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effinghman, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh and Screven Counties. WorkSource Coastal recognizes and participates in partnerships that horizontally align with business, organized labor, community organizations, economic development and education to enhance the economic viability of our region. This organization is charged with the responsibility to ensure that our Service Centers are business customer focused and outcome based, with placement of jobseekers to meet businesses hiring needs being the highest priority. The organization must ensure that systems are in place so that a quality connection is made between business looking for qualified workers and individuals seeking gainful employment. Vision Statement To continuously increase the global competitiveness and prosperity of our businesses and workforce, to fill current and emerging jobs, and to provide full employment. Mission Statement To guide or assist Coastal Georgia communities in all efforts to develop, promote, support, and sustain a globally competitive workforce. Core Purpose To provide well-trained, highly motivated employees for business and industry, improving the quality of life for individuals, families, and the communities of Coastal Georgia, and enabling job seekers to be productive and contributing members of a globally competitive economy.
