Workforce Matters recognizes the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to the economic vitality of this country. We honor all those who observe and celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. In addition to AAPI Heritage Month, we also recognize Mental Health Awareness Month. We applaud all of our partners who create safe and healthy workplaces in support of mental health month. Take a minute or two to review these resources for ideas of how to share the conversation at your workplace: Mental Health at Work: Raising Awareness of Current Resources from our colleagues at the US Department of Labo https://loom.ly/dXEtOZ4 AAPI Heritage Month: What Asian Americans in the Workplace Want Employers to Know. from Supporting Member, Indeed https://loom.ly/rPAkR28

Lauren N. King, Ph.D. W.K. Kellogg Foundation asked to share this event with our network - The Century Foundation (TCF)'s workforce and education teams are working together to increase diversity and equity in medicine, engineering, and law. Through this project, TCF seeks to understand how historically underrepresented individuals are excluded from the talent pipelines that lead to these fields and identify discrepancies in how these sectors serve diverse communities across the nation. With the help of a national task force, TCF will develop policy and practice solutions to ensure underrepresented students and professionals have access to the supports and resources that drive inclusion, participation, persistence, and completion. We hope you’ll join us for a virtual information session and conversation on Thursday, May 16th to learn more about this work and to engage in a meaningful discussion led by TCF Fellows, Michelle Burris, Halley Potter, and Emily McGrath.
