This week, we celebrated our devoted aquarists, zookeepers, and educators. They illuminate the beauty of wildlife, help protect endangered species, educate our community, and foster a love of the natural world with everyone around them. Wonders of Wildlife wouldn't be what it is without every single one of them. Drop a thank you in the comments below! ⬇️

Everyone, meet Alice – if you don't know her already. Alice is a well-known Ambassador Animal for WOW, and you can often see her at community events strutting around (and maybe looking for some paper to shred.) Our Ambassador Animals offer educational opportunities for the community to learn about different species and how to help protect them in the wild. Our team is dedicated to providing a great quality of life to animals of all kinds with enrichment and training done behind the scenes. Be on the look out for upcoming community events where our Ambassador Animals will be, and come see Alice and our other ambassadors there! 📷 : Assistant Curator Stephanie

We're saying farewell to our Class of 2024! 🐢🎓 Our team released the recent residents of the Sea Turtle Center back into the wild off Jekyll Island, Georgia, and we couldn't be more proud of their recovery while at our facility. We're also incredibly excited to announce our Turtle Tracker – a way for us to track five of the loggerhead turtles that were tagged with special SPOT 375 wildlife tracking tags. We are thankful for the work done by New England Aquarium, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, TURTLES FLY TOO, and Georgia Sea Turtle Center to help coordinate and execute every step of the rescue and rehabilitation. Their work is invaluable to conservation and we are thoroughly grateful for them! We'll have more coming soon about the tracking tags, so be sure to follow along on all of our social media pages!
