5 tips to revamp your job search✨ 1️⃣while applying to jobs on LinkedIn filter by past 24 hours and 7 days! These jobs are more likely to ACTUALLY be hiring and interviewing applicants and you get an edge up my being the first person to apply 2️⃣Don’t avoid every cover letter! Yes I know cover letters can be a drag but some applications won’t let you submit without a cover letter so by skipping out you could miss interviews. Have a general template that you can tailor to the specifics of each job and company so you don’t have to spend hours working on it 3️⃣Boost the amount of applications you send. I had a client only send out 20 applications and was not getting enough traction, I compare this to walking on a treadmill and expecting to loose weight. In some respects it’s a numbers game, more applications = more interviews but of course give yourself time to recharge and reward yourself after dedicating time! 4️⃣ find someone trusted to practice tough interview questions with like an experienced recruiter. If you don’t have an experienced recruiter in your network that can help continue to network OR it’s very likely you have a friend or family member that interviews others. Give them a call practice, practice, practice until you feel like a natural! This will have you prepared and ready 5️⃣ attend networking events! Meeting people in person will help you break down barriers and establish lasting relationships. While preparing for today’s live video I came across this quote by Denzel Washington that really resonated with me: "If you sit at the barber shop long enough, you are bound to get a haircut." 🤔 To me, this quote speaks volumes about the importance of taking action and putting yourself out there.
