Last night was the first event I hosted in Manhattan with Career Connect & Co. & the turn out was incredible 🥳❤️ Planning a successful event in Manhattan was not easy but 100% worth it!! By hosting outside of my favorite neighborhood Astoria, I learned to embrace challenges that were best for growth 👏 Huge thank you to everyone that attended. It truly means a lot. Since becoming a top voice I’m sharing how to use LinkedIn to get a job - or in my case, the majority of my jobs! 1️⃣ Follow people who have the type of job you want. Support their work, get to know them, and see if your “dream job” is all it’s cracked up to be, or if you realize you only like specific aspects of it. Who knows, these people could become the FRIENDS you someday work closely with. :) 2️⃣ Talk about your experiences as LinkedIn posts. Look up interview questions your favorite companies ask by checking their interview section on Glassdoor. If you have an impactful story where you grew or helped someone else grow, consider writing a linkedin post about it here! Not only are your problem solving situations interesting for the Linkedin community to read, but the post could be read by team members at your future company who admire the way you solve things! 3️⃣ Share your passions! My side passion is content creation😊You never know when your favorite clothing company will connect with you because they like your tshirt design, or your favorite product company will ask you to join product marketing because they like how you talk about their product! This happened to me once, Taylor Swift (or someone on her team) responded to my comment on one of her posts! 4️⃣ Comment on the posts of the companies you’re interested in. Talk about why you like their products! Often times company recruiters will look at the profiles of the people who share support on corporate linkedin pages. Many companies don’t get a lot of likes or comments on their social media posts, so you can REALLY stand out in this way! These are just a few of my favorite tips to get your dream companies to notice you and want you to join their efforts What would you add to my list?! 👇 PS.
