    Chief Information Officers (CIOs) are pivotal to an organization’s future. They are tasked with championing innovative technologies, enabling change, protecting critical data, and minimizing organizational risk. To explore the role, scope, and compensation of these technology and digital leaders, WittKieffer conducted a comprehensive survey of industry Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and other IT leaders.    Our findings highlight the importance of succession planning, talent development, and the need for more flexibility and agility when accessing technology leadership talent. Read the report: https://lnkd.in/eqFYTpjN   Among the key takeaways:      Strategic elevation: 8 in 10 CIOs now serve on their organization’s executive leadership team. Increasing competition for experienced CIOs: Over 50% of current CIOs assumed their roles in the past three years, and nearly half appointed in this time period earn more than $500,000. Work location flexibility: Nearly half (44%) of CIOs only go onsite a few days each week. Investment in internal IT workforce: More than two-thirds of CIOs plan to either expand or maintain their current staff levels. AI imperative: 1 in 3 (29%) CIOs said that AI adoption is a top priority for their IT organization this year.     #healthcareCIO #CIOs #healthIT
