Momentum is building for the state of Wisconsin! Wisconsin's Biohealth Tech Hub is getting $49 million from the federal government to continue to grow the state's personalized medicine and biohealth sector. Not only is this move significant for the state's economy, but the technology being developed will also change the future of health care.

The former New Century School building in Verona is in the process of being turned into a place where everyone can enjoy art. WEDC is providing a grant to support ART House 360 in restoring this historic schoolhouse.

Great news for the state of Wisconsin! Wisconsin has officially been selected as a U.S. Regional Tech Hub. As part of the designation, the state is getting a $49 million grant under the U.S. Economic Development Administration's (EDA) Tech Hubs program. Wisconsin has officially been selected as a U.S. Regional Tech Hub, unlocking $49 million to grow the state's personalized medicine and biohealth sector. This designation will allow the state's consortium of 15 public and private partners organized by the Governor Tony Evers Administration through WEDC to increase research, coordination and collaboration, expand lab space, and improve access to capital to start and grow businesses. Over the first 10 years, this designation is projected to create more than 30,000 jobs directly tied to personalized medicine and another 111,000 indirect jobs. The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) is currently accepting applications for their Community-Led Seed Grants! These grants, which can reach up to $50,000, are aimed at supporting community-led projects in Wisconsin. The initiative seeks to develop new strategies, test innovative ideas, and promote collaboration to tackle health challenges in the state. Eligible organizations include Wisconsin-based 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 nonprofits, as well as Wisconsin-based government entities. Projects funded through AHW’s Community-Led Seed Grants must be completed within a 12-month period starting January 1, 2025. Interested? Applications are due August 19.
