The IRS cautions taxpayers to beware of an emerging scam involving buying clean energy tax credits. Unscrupulous tax return preparers are targeting individuals filing Form 1040, claiming IRA credits to offset income tax from sources that are not considered passive income — the only type that can be used for purchased credits. Taxpayers claiming inappropriate credits risk future compliance action by the IRS. Be tax aware and visit https://buff.ly/46lIrkA for more information on clean energy!

It's #CowAppreciationDay! Wisconsin is America's Dairyland and we're home to 1.28 million cows, so you might say we have udder respect for them (sorry, you had to know puns were coming — but we promise not to milk it!). We appreciate cows so much, we even adopted one to help with comoo-nication. Got questions when visiting My Tax Account on our website? Just ask DORi, and your voice will be herd! https://buff.ly/2tvw6fz
