Last week, the Town of Windsor engaged in an emergency training exercise at Windsor High School, aimed at enhancing local agencies' emergency response capabilities. This initiative was made possible through the seamless collaboration of regional agencies including the Windsor Police Department, Severance Police Department, Weld County Sheriff's Office, Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue, UCHealth EMS, the Weld RE-4 school district and dedicated student volunteers. This collective effort ensures our community is better equipped to handle crises effectively. We also want to extend an extra thank you to the Windsor residents and business owners for their patience and support, especially with the congestion along Main St. Together, we are stronger and more prepared for any challenges that may come our way!

Eric Lucas Named First-Ever Deputy Town Manager of Windsor Town of Windsor Public Services Director Eric Lucas has been selected as the town’s new Deputy Town Manager, Town Manager Shane Hale announced Friday. Lucas will assume the new position—the first of its kind for the organization—effective Monday, April 29. In his new role, Lucas will oversee several departments and help lead the implementation of the Town Board’s strategic goals and vision for the future of Windsor. NEWS RELEASE: Windsor Economic Development Director Stacy Brown Announces Departure Economic Development Director Stacy Brown has announced her departure from the Town of Windsor after serving the community for 13 years. The town will be hosting a farewell banquet on Wednesday, March 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall, located at 301 Walnut St. Residents and business owners are invited to attend. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Brown started Windsor’s Economic Development department and has served as its director since 2011. Previously she has served communities in various economic development roles throughout the Front Range since 1999. Prior to coming to the Town of Windsor, Brown worked as the Director of Business Retention and Expansion for the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation. Meet Windsor’s wastewater team. This team, which operated with only three people up until last month, is responsible for maintaining Windsor’s Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) on the southeast corner of town. They’re also Windsor’s 2023 PRIDE of Windsor award recipients! The entire community’s wastewater is treated and released back into the Cache la Poudre River all within Windsor. Late last year, the WWTF unveiled its newest biosolids facility, which makes the dewatering process more efficient, which is when water is removed from solid waste for ease of disposal. Windsor’s wastewater team facilitated the construction and implementation of the new biosolids facility seamlessly without interruptions to service or to their everyday duties. “Their achievements are not just commendable for the community but serve as an inspiration for others in the field. They are true superheroes, operating behind the scenes for the greater good of our Windsor's environmental health and sustainability. Their commitment to producing results, responsibility, integrity, dedication and exceptional service (PRIDE) makes them deserving of the PRIDE of Windsor award.
