Wilkes EDC enjoys promoting and celebrating NC Carolina Core and the momentum of Future Interstate 777! #WhyWilkes
Piedmont Triad Partnership’s Carolina Core Regional Economic Development Director — 26 years in regional/local economic development in central North Carolina
What an honor it was to speak to the NCDOT Board, transportation staff, and their guests from the community today at North Wilkesboro Speedway. My topic was NC Carolina Core’s ongoing efforts to get a segment of U.S. 421 — from Wilkesboro through Yadkinville and on to I-40 in Winston-Salem — designated as Future Interstate 777. Posing with me and holding I-777 signs are my economic development colleagues LeeAnn Nixon of Wilkes Economic Development Corporation, Bobby Todd of the Yadkin County Chamber, and Blake Moyer of Surry County Economic Development Partnership.
