Latest feature from The Columbus Dispatch on our summer exhibitions. Explore new works from artists Jonas N.T. Becker and Tanya Lukin Linklater. In Jonas N.T. Becker: A Hole is not a Void you'll see new photography, video, sculpture, and installation work focusing on themes of land, labor, and extraction—connecting issues in Appalachia to broader questions of environmental injustice and inequity. In Tanya Lukin Linklater: Inner blades of grass (soft) inner blades of grass (cured) inner blades of grass (bruised by the weather) you'll experience sculpture, installation, rehearsals, video, works on paper that cite Indigenous art lineages and consider how weather organizes communities as well as our environment. Lukin Linklater cites her upbringing in the Kodiak archipelago of Alaska as inspiration for her work. Read more about the exhibitions with the link below. #Exhibitions #ContemporaryArt #ColumbusOhio

Tanya Lukin Linklater's exhibition at the Wexner Center for the Arts featured in Forbes. “In my practice at large, I'm concerned with repair of our communities and peoples which so many of our communities and peoples are undertaking on the ground, and my practice often cites that, or gestures towards that reparative work which is required because of these ongoing storms of colonialism that we have endured and continue to endure." Lukin Linklater's exhibition at the Wex is her largest presentation to date and her first US survey exhibition. Titled "Inner blades of grass (soft) inner blades of grass (cured) inner blades of grass (bruised by the weather)" the exhibition explores the artist's multidisciplinary practice over the past decade and features new works and a Wex-comissioned project informed by her visit to Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks in Newark, Ohio. Read more about Lukin Linklater's first US survey exhibition with the link below.
